Tropic of Deception is a darkly comedic political thriller based on a true story — a Florida story — that transformed one man’s pursuit of the American Dream into an international conspiracy. The story unfolds with the contentious 2000 Presidential election in the background.
We meet and follow Tom, a former New Jersey fireman turned struggling entrepreneur, whose audacious plan to establish Cuba’s first Free Trade Zone inadvertently threatens to shift Florida’s political landscape — and alter the outcome of one of the most contested Presidential elections in American history.
It is a fast-paced romp with historical undertones.
